A New Web Usage Model . . .

A Santa Monica start-up may have an answer that many stock photographers and distributors are looking for –– a usage-based image licensing model for the internet.

The California company has created an automated system that charges customers based on the number of times an image is viewed on a website.

And, get this. Under one of two pricing models, image providers establish their own prices. GumGum, as the company is called, simply adds a small handling fee on top of the provider's charge.
