New Corbis Partners . . .
Images from two illustration collections, a fine art archive, an hispanic image library, a religious collection and an automotive library are included. Thirty-nine rights managed image collections, including some of the new libraries, are currently searchable on the Corbis web site. The company also lists 21 searchable royalty-free collections on its site. Some of the searchable collections are owned by Corbis. The Seattle company announced the new arrangements at the Cannes International Advertising Festival in Cannes France this week. The company also said it will sponsor the festival's Young Director Award this year.
Among Corbis' new rights managed collections are Artkey, a collection of fine art from Asian artists Qi Baishi and Liu Guosong and Jon Arnold Images, a collection of commercial and editorial travel work.
Also new to the Corbis rights-managed library are The Car Culture, automotive imagery; Esta, lifestyles, food, interior design, nature and business imagery; and Godong, religious photography. The New royalty-free collections at Corbis are Bilderlounge, edgy lifestyles from the United Kingdom and Germany; Image.com RF, illustrations; the Ron Chapple collection, edgy and "hip lifestyle" photography; Somos Images, Veer's Hispanic offer; and Illustration Works, illustrations. Ron Chapple and Illustration Works, also are providing some rights-managed work, Corbis said.
